Celebrating 60 Years of Manufacturing
Founded in 1966 by Jim Scott, a former SCE engineer, in El Monte, CA, Scott Engineering began as a small operation crafting custom pole‑line hardware. As demand grew for high‑quality, specialized power solutions, the company expanded into padmount equipment—marking the start of a legacy built on innovation, craftsmanship, and reliability.
As Scott Engineering continued to grow, the company moved into progressively larger facilities- starting in El Monte, then expanding to Temple City, and ultimately establishing its long‑term home in Walnut, California around 1981.
Scott Engineering became 100% employee‑owned in 2000, igniting rapid growth that led to a second Walnut, CA facility by 2005- doubling the company’s footprint. Continued expansion followed, and in 2012 the team moved into a new Chino facility twice the size of Walnut, adding advanced technology and equipment that strengthened both operations and customer support.
In 2023, Scott Engineering evolved into Scott Manufacturing Solutions, Inc., marking a new chapter of growth and innovation. Backed by advanced manufacturing capabilities and a commitment to uncompromising quality, we rapidly became a trusted supplier for major utilities, including Southern California Edison and NV Energy. Today, we remain focused on delivering industry-leading solutions, exceptional service, and the innovation our customers depend on.
